In 2005 there were over 400,000 victims of rape, sexual assault and physical violence. Survivors of these crimes are left battered, bruised, and psychologically scarred. In the aftermath of these crimes victims often make unhealthy choices, many turning to drugs and/or prostitution to ease the pain. Others choose a more difficult path – the struggle to regain their lives. It is the filmmaker’s wish that “The Beginning Of December” serve as an inspiration to the victims of these crimes. We encourage anyone who has been a victim of rape, sexual assault or physical violence to seek help. Choose to regain your life. Believe again.
